Modern concert hall

Project Overview

The Hall was opened in 2018. The author of the acoustic design was the famous Japanese acoustician Yasuhisa Toyota. Initially, the hall was designed as a philharmonic hall, but after it was commissioned, pop and jazz concerts began to be held in it. Consequently, the hall was actively used in electro-acoustic mode. Due to the fact that the acoustics of the hall did not meet the optimal conditions for such modes of operation, it was necessary to consider possible solutions for transformable acoustic treatment to adapt the hall's acoustics for concerts with sound amplification. As part of the consulting support, a set of acoustic and electro-acoustic measurements were performed, and possible solutions for correcting the hall's acoustics were analyzed.

Project execution

Conducting a set of acoustic measurements. Conducting a set of electroacoustic measurements during the operation of a sound reinforcement system. Analysis of possible solutions to improve the sound system layout and to improve the acoustics of the hall by introducing transformable acoustic treatment units and finish.

Results

All the recommendations and solutions are reported.
